5 Culture-Based Tools to Improve Safety Performance

You’ve been charged with the task of improving safety performance within your organization. You’ve heard about culture-based safety but don’t know where to begin. Here’s a starting point: an introductory course that gives you the basics and provides you with training in 5 culture-based tools. Each session will focus on one of the following tools: Culture Iceberg Analysis, the Cycle of Mistrust, the Pathway to Change, the Empowerment Continuum and Norms Changing Exercise. You will finish this teleclass with a tool kit full of useful information to improve safety performance at your site.

Classes will be ongoing throughout the year. Join the class at any point, and continue until you have acquired all 5 tools.

Too often in organizations, people are thrust into leadership roles and not given the tools to lead. As the process champion for the safety culture change initiative within your organization, how much time have you spent looking at your own personal internal development as an agent of change? This teleclass advances the case for looking within and offers a step-by-step approach to the exploration of yourself and your inner strengths as a change agent. With the rapidly changing workplace, here’s an opportunity to spend an hour monthly with Dr. Simon to reflect on what’s going on and who you are in the process and to apply your learnings to lead your safety culture forward.
